Being a mother can be a job in itself. You are no longer thinking for just yourself or yourself and your spouse, but for a little person also. It can begin to feel like the time you once had set aside for yourself no longer exist, but it doesn’t have to continue that way. Here are a few tips to help you start your own business.

Make a schedule and stick to it. I commend you for making it this far. It means you’ve found a little time for yourself. Make more of it. A schedule will not only allow you to do research, but it will also help you become more organized for your business.

Utilize the internet as much as possible. In addition to research, if there are things you can obtain online instead of walking into an office, use that option. Filing your Articles of Organization, obtaining your EIN from the IRS, virtually chatting with someone in the Commerce Office or Register of Deeds, setting up a business bank account, and whatever else you may need.

Network within your network. You never know what or who someone knows. Your friends and family may play a key role in helping you get to the next level. Plan a lunch, dinner, play date, or errand run with them and see what goodies they have.

Get some rest. Ha! Easier said than done, right? You’re no good to anyone, including yourself and your brain baby, if you are not well rested and ready to conquer the world.
